Oh Canada

By heart’s surprise, those piercing eyes,

And wayward gaze within,

Oh Canada, my heart does rise,

To girl you send on whim,

To heartless beast, with heartless feasts,

Of empty soldier’s ruin,

Oh Canada, without your love,

One’s soul could not begin,

With words so kind, may nectar find,

On lips who’s lured one so,

Oh Canada, you’ll never know,

How fond you’ve made one grow,

Of pleasantries, and economies,

And all that song springs forth,

Oh Canada, from out your lore,

My soul does march me North.
