The Stars Aren't That Far

Years and aeons they are but the same,

Reality and dreams become one to tame,

For forward is distant when seen by the eye,

But tomorrow is here when seen in the mind,

Where galaxies go flickering from birth to reborn,

As quick as the sunset does slip b'fore morn,

As dreams which do tantalize the minds of men,

Become realities again and again,

Only in the intrepid of those who may dare,

To traverse the universe without fear or despair,

And find within ourselves that moment of peace,

Which God has reserved for you and for me,

That truth to all life which suffers th' disease,

Of failure to travel the deep ocean seas:

The greatest of distances aren't really that far,

When conquered by mind and fueled by the heart.
